There will be a Winter Storm Watch starting Monday at 7 p.m. through Wednesday at 6 p.m. Over the past few days we have had lake effect snow, but on Monday night a storm system will bring more widespread snow to the region. Snow is not expecting to accumulate all at once, but from Tuesday morning through Wednesday night.

Most of the area counties will be under a Winter Storm Watch starting Monday at 7 p.m. through Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Over the past few days we have had lake effect snow, but on Monday night a storm system will bring more widespread snow to the region. Snow is not expecting to accumulate all at once, but from Tuesday morning through Wednesday night.

We are also expecting windy conditions for Tuesday as we can see wind gusts up to 45 mph. With accumulating snow and gusty winds this will make travel difficult on Tuesday and Wednesday. You can expect lower visibilities when headed out on the roads.

With windy conditions your “real feel” temperatures will be in the single digits and some even seeing negative wind chills for Wednesday, so please be sure to bundle up when headed out. By Wednesday night we have Lake Effect snow showers that will bring us even more snowfall to our forecast Wednesday into Thursday.

We are expecting several systems to move through the region this week, so off and on snow showers will continue through the work week and into the weekend.
