A Rochester man convicted in the death of his wife and daughter will spend 50 years to life in prison.

Patrick Brooks was sentenced Wednesday morning at the Hall of Justice.

He was found guilty last month of murdering his wife Christie Brooks and daughter Victoria Brooks.

They were stabbed a combined 84 times. Their bodies were found in a home on Wellington Avenue in Rochester the day after Thanksgiving 2016.

On Twitter, District Attorney Sandra Doorley called Brooks' sentencing "Justice for this amazing mother and her bright daughter."
