Police near Albany are investigating an apparent quadruple homicide after four people were found dead in a basement on Tuesday.

According to WNYT, our news partner, News10NBC's affiliate says the four victims were found in a basement apartment on Second Avenue in Troy by the building's landlord, shortly after noon on Tuesday.

There is no word on the identities, ages, or genders of the victims -- or how they died. There is also no word on how long the bodies had been there.

There's also no word if any weapons have been recovered.
