UPDATE: New photos from viewer Amanda Thompson show the ice volcano is growing. Amanda says she took photos of the volcano during a recent trip and estimates it is now around 20 feet or more tall.

It appears an "ice volcano" is forming again at Letchworth!

Photos posted on the Letchworth State Park Lovers Facebook page shows the volcano in an early stage of formation. The post estimates it's about 10 to 12 feet high already.

Back in 2015, the ice volcano gained national attention when it grew to more than 50 feet high.

The ice volcano is actually a water fountain that's frozen over.
