Fire crews braved the cold temperatures to fight a fire on Richmond Avenue in Churchville.

Just before 2:15 a.m. Friday, multiple agencies were on scene due to the frigid temperatures. Firefighters tell News10NBC everyone got out of the house safely, and crews got the fire under control quickly.

Firefighters say the house has internal damage. An RTS bus was called in for heating purposes, but soon called off because the fire was under control quickly.

No word yet on if the family who lives in the house will get help from the Red Cross, or if they’re staying with relatives.
