Invest Buffalo Niagara and Greater Rochester Enterprise say they are disappointed but proud of the proposal the area came up with, saying it highlights how Buffalo and Rochester can work together to recruit other companies and jobs in the future.

"I saw the list a few minutes ago," Bob Duffy, Rochester Chamber CEO, said. "And I would say at first glance... I'm disappointed that we did not make the final 20. But I'm very, very proud of our submission. I'm very proud of the team from Rochester's region, the team from Buffalo. We put a great submission together, one that we're very very proud of. One that really reinforced the strengths of this region."

Amazon expects to make a final decision later this year.
