Google has removed more than 60 apps for kids from the Google Play app store after they showed users pornographic content.

Officials say the apps, mostly games or drawing tutorials, contained malware that showed pornographic ads.

Hackers created the malicious games to distribute the malware and scare people into paying for fake services to protect their phone.

According to the security firm Check Point, which discovered the issue, the apps were downloaded more than three million times before being removed.
