U.S. freestyle skier is second from Bristol Mountain to be named to U.S. team for upcoming Games

The US Ski and Snowboard Team announced the roster for the 2018 US Olympic Freestyle Team and the addition of World Aerials Champion Jonathon Lillis means Bristol Mountain now has two athletes competing in South Korea.     The other is Morgan Schild who will be competing on the Women’s Freestyle Mogul Team.   Lillis’ parents, Jamie and Bernie Lillis, and younger brother, Chris who is also on the US Ski and Snowboard Freestyle Aerials Team are ecstatic over hearing the the news. SO is Bristol Mountain Freestyle Team Coach, John Kroetz.     “I couldn’t be more proud of both Morgan (Schild) and a Jon”, said Kroetz. “This is a dream come true for these athletes and their families."   Lillis and Patrick O’Flynn, members of the Bristol Mountain Super Six, competed in the last FIS World Cup Aerials competition of the season this past weekend in Lake Placid.   “I was lucky enough to attend the World Cup Aerials Event in Lake Placid this past Friday and Saturday. Every time I watched Jon and Patrick jump I had a great sense of pride well up inside me," said Drew Broderick, Bristol Mountain Sales & Marketing Director. "I can’t wait to see Jon and Morgan compete for Team USA at the Olympics. We will be hosting Olympic viewing parties at Bristol Mountain and will announce the dates and times in the near future."   Dan Fuller, Bristol Mountain General Mountain is having trouble containing his enthusiasm, too.   “I’ve had the privilege of watching these incredible athletes grow up at Bristol Mountain from the time they were in our Brigades programs to watching them compete around the world. I’m so proud of Jon and Morgan and the rest of the Bristol Mountain Super Six on their outstanding athletic achievements but also on how they honor their families when they are on the global stage.”
