Wayne County Historical Society will host its largest fundraiser, Lock Up and Jail ‘Em, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Feb. 9 at Museum of Wayne County History, 21 Butternut St., Lyons.
Nominees will sample Wayne County produce, receive massages from an in-house massage therapist, taste local red wines and chocolate beers and eat chocolate while their nominators make phone calls for pledges to make their “bail.”
Participants will receive a gift basket featuring handcuffs and a photo from the event. Nominators can bail out their sweethearts after securing $500 in pledges.
There is no need to collect money. Bring a nominee and a cell phone to make calls. Museum manager Karen Schwab and director Larry Ann Evans are available for those in need of a nominee.
