Kolb is one of three candidates seeking Republican nomination in race against Democrat Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Chairs of nine Republican county committees across the Finger Lakes region have endorsed Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb, R-Canandaigua, for governor. On Tuesday, the Ontario County Republican Committee added its full committee endorsement of Kolb following recent endorsements from GOP committees of Seneca and Yates counties.
“Leader Kolb’s background in business, education, public service and community involvement will serve him well as governor,” stated Ontario Chair Trisha Turner.
County chairs who endorsed Kolb represent the GOP committees in Monroe, Ontario, Livingston, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, and Yates.
Kolb is one of three candidates seeking the Republican nomination in the race for governor against Democrat Andrew Cuomo who is seeking re-election. State Sen. John DeFrancisco of Syracuse announced Tuesday is seeking the GOP nomination, joining former Erie County Executive Joel Giambra and Kolb.
