Beginning Wednesday, shoppers will begin to see discounts. Both the Henrietta and the Greece stores are slated to close doors around mid-April.

Bankrupt Toys R is kicking off its store-closing sales Wednesday after receiving court approval to move forward with its plans to shutter about 180 stores, under both the Toys R Us and Babies R Us banners, across the country.

The Babies R Us at 2335 Marketplace Dr. in Henrietta and the Toys R Us at 1530 Ridge Rd. in Greece are both slated to close.

Beginning Wednesday, shoppers will see discounts of up to 30 percent. The closing stores will continue to honor customer programs including gift cards, Endless Earnings, and credit card specials.

Liquidators say shoppers will be offered "deep discounts on top brand names across all product categories." They also plan to bring in new merchandise "at even deeper discounts."

The retailer, which declared bankruptcy in September, will begin closing these stores this month and continue until mid-April.
