The Monroe County medical examiner has positively identified the bodies found Thursday in a recovered SUV are that of Robert and Mary Ross.

Robert, 73, and Mary, 72, had been missing since late January.

Members of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office scuba team located the SUV Wednesday while searching the Genesee River near the Pelican's Nest restaurant in Charlotte.

Just before 10 a.m. on Thursday, divers confirmed that the SUV found belonged to the couple, who have been missing since late January. The license plate on the vehicle matched that of the couple's missing SUV. The vehicle was pulled from the water around noon.
