The family of 14-year-old Treyvan Rowe of Rochester says he has autism, and they are extremely concerned for his safety. Treyvan got off the school bus Thursday morning but never went to school and has not been seen since.
A missing child alert has been issued for a Rochester teen.
The family of 14-year-old Treyvan Rowe says he has autism, and they are extremely concerned for his safety.
Police say Treyvan rode the bus to school Thursday morning and got off near School No. 12 on South Ave. around 7:30 a.m. but did not enter the school, according to police.
Treyvan's family put out pleas on Facebook, asking parents to check with their own kids to see if they know anything about what happened to him.
Police are searching wooded areas near the school, specifically Highland Park and Mt. Hope Cemetery, not far from where Treyvan was last seen.
A state police helicopter was also brought in to assist search teams on the ground. Since police have no confirmation that he is in those areas, they are also checking other locations.
Tryvan was last seen wearing a brown hoodie, tan pants, and red shoes.
If you have any information on Rowe's whereabouts, you're asked to call 911.
