A joint investigation led to the arrest of a Wayne County man police say possessed a weapon in the city of Canandaigua.

Pierre T. Thomas, 27, of the town of Williamson, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Canandaigua city police, with help from state police, charged Thomas on Wednesday.

According to police, Thomas on May 13, 2017, possessed a weapon while in the city of Canandaigua. The arrest is the result of a co-investigation by the Canandaigua City and state police, along with Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Thomas was arraigned and sent to Ontario County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail. Thomas is due to reappear in court on a later date.
