Historic Palmyra will offer an Underground Railroad program from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on April 19 at Alling Coverlet Museum, 122 William St., Palmyra.
Bonnie Hays will point out sites related to the Underground Railroad during a walk around the village of Palmyra. Attendees will learn about Palmyra’s role in the abolitionist movement.
Historic Palmyra is dedicated to preserving the history and architectural heritage of Palmyra. Its mission is to save the history of Palmyra and vicinity through the preservation of architecture, artifacts and archives.
The nonprofit teaches and educates through five museums from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays-Thursdays at 132 Market St. in Palmyra.
