Holly Colino was deemed not mentally competent to stand trial last October and sent to a mental health facility for evaluation. She's expected to be re-evaluated at Tuesday's status hearing and then may be prosecuted for randomly shooting to death a young mother.

The woman accused of randomly killing an Orleans County mother last year may finally be prosecuted.

Thirty-three-year-old Megan Dix, of Lyndonville, was shot to death last August while she ate lunch on her break from work in a parking lot in Brockport.

Holly Colino is accused of using a pistol to shoot Dix in the head.

In October, Colino was deemed not mentally competent to stand trial and sent to a mental health facility for evaluation. She's expected to be re-evaluated and depending on that could possibly be prosecuted.

A status hearing is scheduled at the Hall of Justice for Tuesday at 11 a.m.
