Employees of Continental Service Group Inc. in Fairport recently spent the morning at Ruben A. Cirillo High School in Walworth for its College and Career Readiness Day to promote financial wellness.
“We are excited to have ConServe participate in our College and Career Day to advance our students’ knowledge in financial wellness,” said Audra Marang, work-based learning coordinator, Gananda Central School District. “Our goal is to educate all students for success. Partnering with businesses in our community helps our high school students gain real-life insight to better prepare for their future endeavors.”
The half-day workshop was created to provide Gananda CSD juniors and seniors with advice to help them plan for their futures. For the ConServe team, it was the opportunity to help educate community youth with information that will empower them to succeed now and after high school.
“ConServe endorses the concept of educating and empowering people to take control of their financial destiny,” said Pamela Murphy, vice president of ethics, compliance officer and workshop presenter. “We believe in fostering financial freedom. At ConServe, financial wellness is an important topic, especially among the younger generations. As part of our commitment to good corporate citizenship, we support this effort with our clients, their consumers and our community whenever possible. By helping to instill the concepts of financial wellness in the young adults of our communities while they are still in school, we are investing in their future and providing them with the tools they will need to achieve their long-term goals.”
