Cynthia Nixon will be in Rochester Thursday, marking her first visit to Western New York since declaring her candidacy for the governor of New York two weeks ago.

Cynthia Nixon will be in Rochester Thursday, marking her first visit to Western New York since declaring her candidacy for the governor of New York two weeks ago.

Nixon will speak to a room of community leaders, activists, and supporters at the 1872 Cafe on West Main Street, at 3:30 p.m.

She will be speaking at the site where Susan B. Anthony made history by voting illegally in 1872.

The 51-year-old Manhattan mother of three is an ally of Democratic New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, who frequently clashes with Gov. Andrew Cuomo on various issues.
