The North Rose-Wolcott High School auditorium was abuzz with excitement recently as student musicians performed nearly 20 songs to celebrate Music in Our Schools Month.
Performers in grades 3-12 showcased their vocal and instrumental talents in the districtwide concert. The third/fourth grade choir, under the direction of Kathryn Nash, kicked off the evening with two songs, setting the tone for the middle school choir and band.
During the second half of the program, the high school musicians picked up where their younger counterparts left off. The jazz band’s performance of “Mumbo Gumbo” drew applause from the audience, paving the way for the girls’ ensemble, combined chorus, mixed chorus and symphonic band.
