Palmyra-Macedon Lions Club and Palmyra Community Center recently held its annual Easter egg hunt in the village of Palmyra Main Street Park.
At least 300 children ages 2-11 searched for 1,200 eggs hidden in the park. After the massive project of stuffing each egg with prizes, the event was over within 10 minutes.
Parents and their children gathered at one of four entrances based on age group. Lines formed, the whistle blew and the stampede began.
Those who found gold and silver eggs were brought to the bandstand for large and medium-sized chocolate bunnies. Winners were Chase Pritchard and Rory Hunt, ages 3 and younger; Jordon Atkison and Payton Marvin, ages 4-5; Gavin Buren and Avery Hunt, ages 6-8; and John Hollingshead and Kristin Pipitone, ages 9-11.
