An ice storm is possible in neighboring Monroe and Livingston counties also, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has ice storming warning that will go into effect at 4 p.m. Saturday and continue to 2 p.m. Sunday.

The Weather Service also has issued an ice storm warning through 2 p.m. Sunday for Monroe, Livingston, Orleans, Genesee, Wyoming, and Erie counties.

The warning warns that "significant icing and gusty winds" are expected, and that the ice accumulations will be around half an inch.

Power outages and tree damage are "likely" because of high winds and ice, and travel will be difficult at times because of ice-covered surfaces and downed tree limbs and power lines.
