Jenna Caskinett, Mackenzie Chase and Olivia Harbol, of Macedon; Jessa Matteson, of Marion; and Kara Mayeu, of Williamson, were recognized for their academic achievements during the spring 2018 honors convocation at Buffalo State. To be eligible, students must complete at least 45 credit hours and earn a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Mariah Paddock, of Clyde; Haley Taber, of North Rose; and Gracie Wright, of Red Creek, recently were honored at the student leaders celebration at Cazenovia College. Paddock and Wright were recognized as leader scholars for earning a minimum 3.7 GPA. Taber and Wright were inducted into Sigma Alpha Pi National Society for Leadership and Success. Wright received the learning community recognition.

Travis Decker, of Clyde, received a Commendable Service Award for seniors in spring 2018 at Clarkson University in Potsdam. Award winners demonstrate quality in service to their area/organization. Decker majors in mechanical engineering.

Rachel Vespucci, of Macedon, and Jeremy Boorum, of Ontario, were named to the winter 2018 dean’s list for academic achievement at Elmira College. To be eligible, students must earn a minimum 3.6 GPA.

Marcella Del Plato, of Williamson, recently was selected to join Phi Delta Phi National French Honor Society at Nazareth College in Rochester. The academic honor goes to students studying the French language.

Emily Blaakman, of Ontario, received a spring 2018 Academic Achievement Award for mathematics, computer science and statistics at SUNY Oneonta. To be eligible, students must earn a minimum 3.5 GPA in their major and demonstrate academic improvement over four semesters.
