A New York City-based software company is expanding to Rochester, creating 500 jobs over the next five years, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Thursday.

LiveTiles creates software that aims to make various services more efficient and productive for businesses.

The facility will be located at 61 Commercial St. in the High Falls district.

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo said the announcement is a "testament to the fact that Monroe County is open for business now more than ever before."

"We are thrilled they will now be investing millions in the heart of our downtown, creating hundreds of next-generation jobs along the way," Dinolfo wrote in a statement.
