Lyons Public Library, 122 Broad St., is holding a drawing for a child’s bookcase/dollhouse through Aug. 27.
The heavy and sturdy bookcase can be used as a dollhouse. It measures 52 inches high by 39 inches wide, and is decorated in the colors of the Broad Street side. The window frames and shutters are 3-D printed; behind each window is a picture of an area within the library.
Thanks goes to Michael Newberg, who worked on the bookcase, and staff member Tabitha Corey. Tickets are $2 each, or six for $10. The library has a poster at the desk with larger photos of the bookcase. Proceeds will go toward the larger meeting room in the basement.
The bookcase is on display in the library’s Local History Room. Call (315) 946-9262 or visit lyonslibrarydirector@owwl.com for information.
