Palmyra-Macedon Middle School recently was designated as a School of Character, which goes to four schools across the state.
The School of Character program, now in its 25th year, started in 1993. Pal-Mac is the only middle school to receive the designation in the state this year.
Like the Lighthouse certification that went to Palmyra-Macedon MS in summer 2017, the School of Character celebrates ideals rooted in exemplary leadership and support for students in making good decisions and developing positive character.
“The initiative absolutely goes beyond the four walls of our school,” Principal Darcy Smith said. “In partnership with the community, we are fostering leadership growth within our students. We all have a hand in shaping their future.”
