Five were injured after a pursuit led to a car crash in the City of Rochester on Saturday night.

According to the Rochester Police Department, officers from RPD and New York State Troopers stopped a vehicle in the area of Route 104 and Hudson Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. When they approached the vehicle, they saw a handgun on the floor. The driver was ordered out of the vehicle, but he instead fled.

The resulting pursuit ended when the suspect's vehicle crashed into a taxi cab at Joseph Avenue and Clifford Avenue. The cab then pushed into another vehicle, which itself pushed into a fourth vehicle.

The five people injured in the crash, including the suspect, were all transported by ambulance because of minor injuries. Charges are still being determined at this time.
