Students in North Rose-Wolcott Central School District recently performed their year-end concert in the J. James McGinn Auditorium at Leavenworth Middle School.
More than 100 student vocalists and instrumentalists showcased their skills to an audience of friends and family members. The lineup included a medley of songs performed by the sixth-grade band; fifth- and sixth-grade choir; The Smooth Cougars, a seventh- and eighth-grade band; and seventh- and eighth-grade choir.
Each group performed a selection of songs under the direction of music department teachers. Alex Richwalder led the band performances while Brenna Griggs, accompanied by Beth Dunn, led the vocal performances.
In between performances, the teachers said they were proud of the student musicians, and expressed their appreciation for everyone involved in making the evening a success.
“We would like to thank parents, families and friends of our 2017-18 choir and band students who help support the dedication and commitment required to make this concert a success,” they said.
