Palmyra-Macedon Dollars for Scholars recently awarded $144,750 to 92 seniors at its 31st annual scholarship ceremony.
Over 40 separate donors presented graduates with funding to assist their goal of higher education.
Robert Yost, chapter president, announced that the chapter reached a milestone in its history this year. It has awarded a total of over $2 million to 2,152 graduates.
Robert Ike, superintendent of Palmyra-Macedon Central School District, thanked the families, businesses and fraternal organizations of Palmyra and Macedon for their support of Dollars for Scholars. He said donations from this year’s recent Phone-a-thon surpassed $18,000.
“The district is extremely grateful for the community and staff volunteers who serve as trustees to the scholarship board and to the incredibly generous Pal-Mac community members who make the scholarships possible,” Ike said.
