Statewide unemployment has decreased from 4.6% to 4.5% in May 2018.
According to figures released Thursday by the New York State Department of Labor, New York State’s private sector job count rose by 13,500 in May of 2018.
This comes as statewide unemployment has simultaneously decreased from 4.6% to 4.5% in May 2018.
This unemployment rate matches New York State’s lowest level since June 2007.
In addition, the number of unemployed New Yorkers fell in May, from 448,700 to 437,500, also reaching its lowest level since June 2007.
