CANANDAIGUA — State troopers are asking for help in finding a vehicle that is believed to have been involved in a deliberate hit-and-run on Brickyard Road.

According to State Police, the hit-and-run incident occurred around 9:25 a.m., about a tenth of a mile south of the local Mercy Flight Station. The vehicle, traveling northbound on Brickyard Road, hit a bicycle and continued onward.

Troopers "strongly believe" the vehicle, caught on video surveillance at the Mercy Flight Station, collided with the bicycle intentionally.

There are not a lot of details on the bicyclist except the person is expected to survive.

The vehicle in question is believed to be a light-colored gray four-door sedan, possibly an older model Pontiac, with rear-end damage that may include a red paint transfer from the bicycle.

Witnesses also believe the vehicle might have a yellow sticker on the rear center of the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the State Police Troop E headquarters.
