There’s a primary election this June. Who will show up to vote?
My vote goes to Dana Balter in the primary for Congressional District 24. She strongly believes in our central New York values. She has the know how, experience and confidence needed to represent upstate citizens.
Districtwide Democrats have wholeheartedly endorsed her as their choice to represent residents of the 24th District, which includes Wayne, Onondaga and parts of the two adjoining counties. Balter reflects their concerns about serious issues in this area — meaningful employment, good health care all can afford, criminal justice reform, protection of our natural resources and more.
She will not accept money from big donors, including Wall Street. She will be transparent and accessible. She is well informed on issues, and will be very much at ease with one-on-ones, small groups or town meetings. The disadvantaged, the under-represented, the under-educated will all be well-represented with her.
Often, few voters show up at primary elections. Those who do have a huge say about who will appear on the ballot that coming November. Any registered Democrats may vote his/her choice in the Tuesday, June 26 primary. Mark your calendars now. Your vote really is important.
I choose Dana Balter. Let’s get her on the November ballot. Let’s get a representative in Congress who will listen to our concerns and who agrees with the values of central New York residents.
