The Livingston County Department of Health announced Wednesday that the toxic algae was found throughout the lake.

The Livingston County Department of Health announced Wednesday that the toxic algae was found throughout the lake.

Any contact with the algae could cause itching, fever, upper respiratory symptoms and vomiting in humans as well as animals.

The health department is monitoring the blooms and will collect water samples if the blooms are concentrated and persistent.
