Those who will not be criminally prosecuted will be processed for removal from the U.S.

After a four-day enforcement operation that ended June 21, the U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE) arrested 40 individuals across New York State.

The targets of the arrest were at-large criminal aliens, illegal re-entrants, immigration fugitives and other immigration violators.

Of those arrested, roughly 30 percent had criminal convictions or pending legal charges.

ICE Fugitive Operations Teams made two arrests in Monroe County, five in Ontario County, and one in Wayne County.

Thomas Feeley, field office director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in Buffalo announced, “ICE will continue to ensure that New York state will never be a safe haven for criminal aliens.”
