Candidates hoping to get on the November ballot are making one final push for votes ahead of Tuesday's Democratic primaries.

If you come across any problems at the polls, the attorney general's office has created a hotline specifically to help troubleshoot and resolve a range of issues encountered by voters on June 26.

The hotline will be staffed by attorneys and staff in the office's Civil Rights Bureau between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday. The number is 800-771-7755 and the email address is civil.rights@ag.ny.gov.

Nominations are up for grabs in New York's 23rd, 24th, and 25th Congressional Districts. The race affecting the most people in our area is for the 25th.

Candidates running for former Congresswoman Louise Slaughter's seat include Assembly Majority Leader Joe Morelle, Brighton Town Council member Robin Wilt, former TV journalist Rachel Barnhart, and Rochester City Council Vice President Adam McFadden. The winner will face Republican Dr. Jim Maxwell in the general election.

Polls open at noon on Tuesday and close at 9 p.m. Registered voters can look up their polling place on the state Board of Elections website or call their county board of elections.
