The crash happened in front of the access road leading to the 7-Eleven gas station in Phelps.

A Newark man was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital after a motorcycle accident Saturday night in the town of Phelps.

According to according to Ontario County Sheriff's Office, Gregory G. Wild, 27, was driving his 2012 Kawasaki north along Route 14 when he attempted to make a right-hand turn and lost control of the bike on loose stone.

The motorcycle went down on its right side and slid on the pavement prior to hitting a brush and a ditch. Wild complained of head, shoulder and hand pain and was airlifted by Life Net helicopter to Strong.

Oaks Corners Fire Department and North Seneca Ambulance responded along with Ontario County Sheriff's deputies.
