Nicholas J. Kellar, 36, died shortly after he was removed from the vehicle by Manchester firefighters, according to Ontario County sheriff's deputies.
MANCHESTER — Ontario County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the cause of a one-vehicle crash on state Route 21 that resulted in the death of a Palmyra man Wednesday.
Nicholas J. Kellar, 36, was heading northbound when he left the roadway and crashed into a tree, deputies said.
Kellar, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was removed from the vehicle by Manchester firefighters, deputies said.
Shortsville Ambulance transported Kellar to Clifton Springs Hospital where deputies said he died a short time later.
Route 21 was closed for a time between Hackett and Hosey roads after the crash, which was reported at approximately 2 p.m. Wednesday.
