Police have arrested a man connected to the death of the 101-year-old woman found dead in her apartment on Green Knolls Drive early Tuesday morning.

Greg Jesner, 54, is being charged with murder in the second degree for the death of Marcia Morrison.

At 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, Rochester Police and the Rochester Fire Department responded to a welfare check at an apartment complex on Green Knolls Drive after a senior transportation company was unable to reach a woman that they had been picking up on a weekly basis.

Upon entry, investigators discovered Morrison's body inside.

Police say that the arrest came from a completely different incident. They say Jesner was detained on Westfall Road after he allegedly tried to coerce a 13-year-old to come back to his home in exchange for money.

That's when a neighbor stepped in and called police. Officers came and detained Jesner. Investigators say evidence gathered connected him with the death of Morrison.

Jesner will be arraigned in Rochester City Court Wednesday morning.

The investigation is still ongoing. Additional charges are possible.
