Republicans in the 27th Congressional District are working fast to replace Congressman Chris Collins.

On Wednesday night, the Livingston County GOP chair talked with people interested in the job.

"This is about representing people and having a feel for what it is that they need," stated Assemblyman Steve Hawley.

Senator Robert Ortt added, "I think it's important that they have somebody to speak to them and their issues."

Collins suspended his campaign Saturday after he was arrested for insider trading and lying to the FBI.
