Wayne County Sheriff's deputies charged a 20-year-old Macedon man with breaking into a home and physically assaulting the homeowner.

Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies charged a 20-year-old Macedon man with breaking into a home and physically assaulting the homeowner. Deputies say they responded to an address in the town of Williamson for report of a male who had broken into a residence.

Deputies charged Kyle L. Quigley of Macedon with second-degree criminal trespass, third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree assault. According to deputies, Quigley had broken the entry door, entered the home and began assaulting the 73-year-old homeowner.

The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and released. A stay away order of protection was issued for the victim.

Quigley was sent to the Wayne County Jail on $1,000 cash bail or $5,000 bond. He is to appear in the town of Williamson court at a later date to answer the charges.
