A lawsuit resulted in fraud charges against Ceglia.

Western New York "Facebook fugitive" Paul Ceglia is now in custody in Ecuador, according to News10NBC's Buffalo affiliate.

Back in 2010, Ceglia sued Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg claiming they had an agreement that Ceglia owned half of the social media network.

Facebook lawyers said Ceglia fabricated and destroyed evidence to support his claim.

The lawsuit resulted in fraud charges against Ceglia.

He vanished from his home in Wellsville in 2015 while awaiting trial.
