A Seneca Falls man was arrested Saturday night for leading the police on a chase after being accused of stealing from a Walmart.

Police arrested 47-year-old Jason Osgood and charged him with one county of petit larceny and obstructing governmental administration in the second degree.

Police say Osgood was observed by employees passing through the points of sale without paying for the goods. He would continue to leave the store and and ran from officials when confronted.

Osgood was located by police on an adjoining property before leading them on a short foot pursuit. He was later caught hiding in a hedgerow. Osgood is being held in the Seneca County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment.
