The village of Palmyra will celebrate its 51st annual Canaltown Days from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 15 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 16 on Main Street (state Route 31).
The weekend features food, live music, crafts, market square, a Civil War encampment, a 5K run/walk on Sept. 16, canal walks, museum tours, an art show, wagon rides, pony rides and antiques.
The annual car show will take place at 11 a.m. on Sept. 15, or Sept. 16 if it rains. The Grand Parade on Main Street will step off at 4 p.m. on Sept. 15.
Free parking is available at the Wayne County Fairgrounds on West Foster Street. A free shuttle bus will run on both days between the Fairgrounds and Main Street.
Special accommodation parking is on the east side of Canandaigua Street (state Route 21) from Main Street to Jackson Street, as well as at St. Anne’s Catholic Church off Church Street.
