A worker at a paving job in Victor was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital after a skid steer loader ran over his left leg while backing up.

Brian M. Rickner, 50, of Macedon was taken to Strong as a precautionary measure for minor injuries.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, the company Bedford Paving was paving a driveway on Brunswick Lane in Victor Thursday morning when the operator of a skid steer loader, Shawn P. Collins, 26, of Churchville, backed up over Rickner, who was standing on the road attempting to move a wheel barrel. The rear right tire of the lader ran over Rickner's left leg.

Sheriff's deputies responded at 11:05 a.m., along with Fishers Fire Department and Victor Farmington Ambulance. No other injuries were reported at the scene.
