For the first time ever, all public school districts in Ontario County will have school resource officers this school year from the sheriff's office.

For the first time ever, all public school districts in Ontario County will have school resource officers this school year.

Ontario County Sheriff Philip Povero says it's due to a mutual agreement between BOCES, the school districts, the sheriff's office and Ontario County government.

Povero says officers will strive to remove obstacles that would prevent a child from receiving a quality education in Ontario County.
