The City of Canandaigua Police Department charged Ryan J. Reeder, 37, and Luis P. Soto, 44, were both charged with third degree sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony for allegedly selling the potentially fatal drugs fentanyl and heroin.

Two Geneva men were arrested by the Canandaigua Police department for the alleged sale of drugs.

According to the City of Canandaigua Police Department, Ryan J. Reeder, 37, and Luis P. Soto, 44, were both charged with third degree sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony for allegedly selling the potentially fatal drugs fentanyl and heroin.

The arrests were a collaborative effort between the Canandaigua City Police Department and Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Both men are being held in the Ontario County jail on no bail, additional charges are pending.

Back in January Deputy Kevin Henderson told the Messenger Post that in the County heroin or opiod overdoses are the leading cause of death for people under the age of 50.
