A Greece woman is in the national spotlight after winning a campaign to become a model for a well-known makeup brand.
Samantha St. Louis entered a competition earlier this year with thousands of other women to become the face of Too Faced makeup. She was selected with nine other women from all across the country.
The group traveled to Los Angeles to meet the makers of Too Faced. Out of that group, St. Louis was selected to win $25,000 and a Wilhelmina modeling contract.
St. Louis attends the University of Buffalo and is studying marketing. She graduated from Greece Athena High School in 2016 and is the daughter of a refugee. She hopes her story will inspire people to reach for the stars.
"Always follow your dreams no matter how surreal they are," St. Louis said. "If you want to be a makeup artist or a model just follow them because you honestly never know. I'm 5'6" and I never would have thought I'd become a model because you have to be tall but I'm not as tall, and who would've thought... here I am."
St. Louis will soon be headed to Chicago to build her portfolio as a Wilhelmina model.
For now, you can catch her on display at Sephora and Ulta Beauty stores all across the country.
