After a mere six hours, an empty plot of land along Lake Ontario is now a public playground.

Over 100 students, along with volunteers in the Town of Williamson, worked together to build the new, safe play space at B Forman Park on Lake Road.

The playground started at 6:30 a.m. Thursday and finished just before 2 o'clock.

The Williamson town supervisor says they have been working since April to get this all together.

A soft opening is scheduled for Monday Oct. 1, but the park will officially open next spring.
