NAPLES — Two parents were charged with four counts of second-degree assault for failing to provide proper care for their children after a trip to the dentist.

According to a press release from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Raymond and Heather Royer were charged with four counts (one for each child) for allegedly failing to provide the children — ages 4, 5, 7 and 10 — proper dental hygiene and for failing to comply with their dentist’s recommendations for care.
