Wayne County Sheriff's deputies responded late Saturday afternoon to the town of Williamson for a two-car crash with injuries.

Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies responded late Saturday afternoon to the area of state Routes 21 and 104 in the town of Williamson for a two-car crash with injuries.

According to deputies, Diane Whitcomb, 77, of Williamson, was southbound on Route 21 when she attempted to make a left hand turn. Whitcomb was struck by Yolanda Brown, 44, of the town of Sodus. Brown was traveling northbound and was unable to avoid the collision, according to deputies. Brown was taken to Newark Wayne Community Hospital with minor injuries.

Sheriff’s deputies were assisted at the scene by Sodus Town Ambulance Corps and the Williamson Fire Department.
