ORIGINAL:

An active search is underway for a 19-year-old Monroe Community College student who went missing from Honeoye Falls Wednesday night.

Deputies say Madeline Rose took off on foot from the area of Pride Street and Cheese Factory Road around 9:30 p.m. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office tells News10NBC she did not take her phone or wallet when she left.

Madeline's family and friends fear she could be in danger because she isn't dressed for the cold weather. She was last seen wearing a black and white t-shirt, black leggings and white socks. She was not wearing shoes or a coat.

She has blue eyes and brown hair that was up in a ponytail. She is 5 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds.

The Monroe County Fire Bureau Special Operations team has joined the search for Madeline with additional resources being provided by the Honeoye Falls, Rush, and Pittsford fire departments.

If you have any information that can help police find Madeline, please call 911.
